Announcing the 4th Piano Pedagogy Conference

The Institute of Music at UCSI University is pleased to announce that the 4th Piano Pedagogy Conference will be held from 23 to 25 September 2025.

This year's conference theme is “Teaching and Beyond: Sustaining Passion and Performance" reflects one of the targets under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for Quality Education. This SDG aims to “ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development." From amateur to professional, and beginner to advanced, musicians continually seek ways to maintain artistic dedication, physical well-being and the joy of playing. Whether extending a professional career or fostering a lifelong appreciation for music, building a lasting connection to the piano requires both passion and sustainable practices.

With a focus on sustainability and inclusivity, this conference explores how teachers, students and performers can cultivate longevity in their musical journeys. We welcome all to share and explore innovative ideas and sustainable approaches to piano teaching through the integration of interdisciplinary learning skills, cultural inclusivity, musical collaboration and the well-being of music communities.
